The research examines whether parafiction can serve as a crucial method within artistic practice, generating new insights and perspectives. It functions as an additional layer that links physical and digital spatiotemporalities and offers alternative visions of the pasts, presents, and futures. The study will explore art and cinema history, as well as contemporary art and cinema in an expanded context, to analyze and contextualize parafictions through an interdisciplinary lens. To deepen this context, the research will integrate fields such as artistic practice, digital cultures, media studies, performance art, philosophy, and politics. Artistic practice will serve as a methodology to combine theory and practice, applying knowledge beyond traditional text-based formats. By synthesizing these diverse fields, the study aims to be original and complex, considering the topic on a planetary scale within feasible limits.
The project was self-initiated.
